Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Pinestack for use of the app and this website. By using Pinestack, you agree to them.
01 Using Pinestack
Pinestack is a personal tool for cataloguing the physical media you own. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you control, for your own non-commercial use. You must be at least 13 years old to use Pinestack.
02 Your data & storage
Pinestack stores your collection locally on your device. You can optionally enable your platform's native cloud service - iCloud on Apple devices or Google's backup on Android - to sync across your devices and restore your collection if you reinstall. That cloud copy lives in your own account; keeping access to it secure is managed through Apple or Google.
03 Your content
Your collection is yours. The titles, notes, and records you add remain your content, stored on your device. If you enable cloud sync, you grant Pinestack only the limited permission needed to store and restore that content through your own cloud account. We don't claim ownership of your catalogue and we won't share it publicly.
04 Subscriptions & purchases
Pinestack may offer optional paid features through an auto-renewing subscription, sold as an in-app purchase via the App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation, and your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Prices are shown in the app before you buy, and refunds are handled under the policies of the relevant store.
05 Acceptable use
Please use Pinestack lawfully. Don't attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, access other users' data, resell the app, or use it to store unlawful content. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or put others at risk.
06 Intellectual property
The Pinestack name, logo, app design, and software are owned by Pinestack and protected by law. Movie titles, descriptions, and cover artwork displayed in the app are provided by third-party sources and remain the property of their respective owners; they're shown to help you identify the discs you own.
07 Availability
We work to keep Pinestack dependable, but the service is provided “as is.” Disc identification relies on third-party data and may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate, and features may change over time. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
08 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pinestack is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
09 Ending use
You can stop using Pinestack at any time by deleting the app, which removes the collection stored on your device; any cloud copy can be removed through your iCloud or Google account. Cancelling a subscription is done through your App Store or Google Play settings. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached.
10 Changes
We may update these terms as Pinestack grows. We'll revise the date above when we do, and material changes will be noted in the app where appropriate. Continuing to use Pinestack after an update means you accept the revised terms.
